BECAUSE I SAID SO

The MLB steroid hearings are going on as we speak. Want your fill of stupidity and bias? Watch the hearing. I tuned in to CNN, for just a little bit, to see what was going on and heard them stating that Jose Canseco has lost credibility because Mark McGwire came out, almost in tears, and said that he truly cherished his role model status for young kids, implying that he never used steroids. Like I said, I only caught a small bit of it, and I'll probably get a more thorough report when the transcript comes out, but is this really what's going on? Canseco doesn't have any credibility because the other players are denying steroid use in an emotional manner? Gee, I wonder what McGwire was going to say, seeing that he's got some MLB records on the line.

CNN seriously seemed more upset that Canseco "ratted" people out. You're a whistle blower if you blow the lid off an "evil" corporation, but if you tarnish the reputation of a baseball hero, you've ratted them out? Oh, and by the way, in case you don't remember, McGuire was accused of using performance-enhancing drugs around the time he was breaking records, and if you've ever seen him in person, he is inhumanly large. My husband is large (6'6" and 340lbs.) but when McGuire was playing ball, one of his arms was about 3/4 the size of one of hubby's legs.

The players are also adding that it's not a just an MLB problem. I haven't heard any of the players saying this, but on another news program, someone said that they would be watching other sports like... soccer! Someone please shoot me now! Has anyone stopped to consider that maybe, oh I don't know, the NFL is a good place to look? A relative of mine worked closely with some major NFL players in the midwest. Some of these players are definite shoe-ins for the Hall of Fame. They told him that you can pretty much bet your kids life that everyone in the NFL, aside from the kicker, is using steroids, and if they're not currently on a steroid regimen, then they're just taking a breather.
